GENERAL
When GGI International uses this type of connector, it is usually an FCI BERG Clincher® series connector. These connectors are made of only one part with the pins integrated in the receptacle. GGI International's circuit tail is embedded between the two rows of contacts and is held in the connector when the latter is closed. GGI International thus ensures you a permanent contact, regardless of how the keypad tail is inserted.

- Advantages:
- Easy assembly on circuit in only one step
- Easy pin #1 identification, a triangle indicating pin 1 is molded on the connector
- Effective contact with the membrane circuit traces, regardless of how the connector is inserted.
- Effective contact using membrane switch keypads with more than one circuit
- A flexible flap allows inspection of the actual crimp
- Disadvantages:
- More expensive than a two-step connector
- Limited width and number of positions
- Requires a wider tail slot opening than a two-step connector system
